We are a user-led collaborative organisation aiming to raise awareness, provide support and promote choice about psychiatric drugs. We welcome involvement from anybody with an interest in this area.

There is a pressing need for a wider range of accessible information to be made available. We exist to offer support and provide information to people who are:

  • considering coming off
  • cutting down
  • coming off
  • deciding whether to take psychiatric drugs

We hold monthly support and networking meetings.

The steering group includes mental health professionals keen to promote choice and a whole person approach and is guided by our statement of purpose and principles. Most members have personal experience of taking psychiatric drugs. Some no longer do so.

There is also an active affiliated research group.

Cambs Coping with Coming Off has links with other groups doing similar work and envisages the development of a national network.
